A notebook that
remembers why

Put research, screenshots and documents in one place. You keep and search the material yourself. The AI notebook helps turn it into a finished document, and the second brain, a map of your notes, shows how they link up.

How it works

Keep the facts behind every decision

Kartoteq gathers a project’s notes, files, links and research in one notebook. The AI notebook helps you turn that material into a finished document. The second brain draws a map of how your notes connect.

01

Collect material without AI

Keep notes, photos, documents, links and useful parts of AI chats together. A note can hold tables, checklists, code, images and audio. Search also looks inside PDF and Word (DOCX) files. Writing, storing files and linking notes by hand never use up AI points, the credits that AI tasks spend.

02

An AI notebook that starts with your goal

You state a goal and answer a few clarifying questions. Then the notebook sorts its sources into sections. The result is a separate working document, and you accept or reject each edit the AI suggests.

03

Compare two options side by side

This is part of the AI notebook. You can put two branches of a discussion side by side. The parts you keep go into the result, each with a link back to where it came from.

04

See how your notes connect

The second brain maps your notes and the shared notebooks you can open. It shows links you made and links the AI suggests, including places where notes contradict each other. Every link says why it’s there.

05

Your own copy for your organization

Some organizations can’t work with an outside provider. For them, Kartoteq offers Enterprise by individual agreement. The core of the product runs on your own servers, under your domain and name. Sign-in, connections to other tools, AI models and support are agreed in one contract.

06

Moving notes in and out

Bring notes in from Evernote (ENEX files), Markdown ZIP archives, and Notion or OneNote exports. After the import you get a report. Blocks Kartoteq can’t read arrive as plain text. You can take everything out at any time as HTML, Markdown, PDF or one ZIP of the whole account.

07

Sharing and earlier versions

Share a note or a notebook by email and choose whether people can view, edit or manage it. Discuss it in comments and mention people with @. You can also open a read-only public link and switch it off later. Every note keeps its earlier versions, so you can go back to one, and deleted notes stay in the trash for 30 days.

Where it helps

A brief for an architect

Before you write the brief, put site photos, estimates, ideas you like and decisions in one notebook.

Planning a store launch

Keep supplier details, catalog plans and delivery decisions in one place, not spread across chats.

Research you can back up

Collect interviews, reports and spreadsheets, so whatever a conclusion rests on stays at hand.

Plans and access

The Personal plan is free. It covers notes, files and search, with no AI. Pro and Team add AI points for AI tasks. Enterprise for organizations is arranged individually. Current terms are on the Kartoteq website.

Key capabilities

  • AI notebook

Set a goal and answer a few questions, and the notebook lays out sections and merges separate branches into one result document.

  • Shared result document

Several people work on one result document, with shared sources, comments and roles.

  • Second brain

A map shows how your notes, files and decisions connect.

  • AI that reads project files

Plans, photos and spreadsheets become sources the AI can work with.

  • Mobile app

Save notes and files from your phone the moment an idea comes up.

  • Two-factor sign-in

A second check at sign-in, on top of your password, protects your account.

  • Enterprise on your servers

Run Kartoteq on your organization’s own servers.

  • Webhooks and OAuth apps

Kartoteq sends signed event notices to your other tools (webhooks) and lets connected apps in with limited access (OAuth).

Who it’s for

For projects where important information comes from many places. One notebook keeps research, decisions and supporting files together, whether the project is yours alone or a team’s.

Questions about Kartoteq

Can I use Kartoteq without AI?

Yes. The free Personal plan has notes, attachments, notebooks, tags and search inside files, with no AI at all. Collecting material never uses up AI points.

Can I bring my notes from Evernote or Notion?

Yes. Kartoteq imports Evernote (ENEX), Markdown ZIP archives, and Notion and OneNote exports, then shows an import report. Not every format is promised to come across without losses, and blocks it can’t read arrive as plain text. You can export at any time as HTML, Markdown, PDF or a full ZIP.

What can the AI notebook see?

Only the notebook you point it at and the sources you have access to. Notes, files and links you keep without AI don’t use up AI points.

Does Kartoteq work offline?

Partly. If you opened notes before the connection dropped, you can keep editing them in the browser. Changes the server hasn’t received sit in the browser’s storage, so clearing it or using a private window loses them. If two versions clash, you see both, and AI needs an internet connection.
